Games For The Entire Family

Even though the March Break is a little different this year, we are happy to be able to receive you in our properties and to offer you a memorable stay in those difficult times. The temperature is very nice this week and it is the perfect opportunity to do winter activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, or skating. However, the curfew at 8 PM is still in force and many wonder what to do during their evenings. Here is a list of 5 games to try with your family.

1. Monopoly Deal

Monopoly Deal is a derivative of Monopoly. Each game is approximately 15 minutes. The winner is the one who gets three complete sets of properties of different colors in less time. Each player starts the game with 5 cards. When it’s the player’s turn, he has to pick two cards from the deck and can do three actions. The player can put money in the bank, play an action card, or add a property to his collection. At the end of his turn, a player can never have more than 7 cards in his hands. If he has too many cards, the player must discard the number of cards required for him to be left with only 7. To play this game, you need to buy the deck of cards in-store.

Disclaimer: This game can easily break up friendships. Consider yourselves warned.

2. Le Jeu de la Boulette

The beauty of this game is that it doesn’t require many things: a piece of paper, pencils, and your good mood. Separate the groups into two or three teams depending on the number of people. Each person writes on a piece of paper 5 names, things, or objects respecting the rules you fixed yourselves. After, you tear up each word, fold them and place them in a common bowl. There are three rounds. During the first round, the player picks a piece of paper and has to make his team guess the word using words and mimes. When the word is found, another player does the same thing and so on until the minute is up. The team must find as many words as possible before the time is up. A point is given for each found word. Once the bowl is empty, you do a second round where the players have to make you guess with only one word. During the third round, you can only mime the word. The winning team is the one with the most points at the end.

3. Yum

Yum is a fun game with dices. If you don’t have the board game, you can print game sheets found on the Internet to calculate the points, and afterward, you only need three dices. It is very easy. Each player throws the dices 3 times to make a sequence. The game ends when all the players have gone through all the sequences. If a player is unable to make one sequence during his turn, he must scratch one of them. The winner is the one with the most points at the end.

4. Clue

Clue is a very popular game, but you absolutely need the board game. The goal is to find the killer, the weapon, and the room where the crime was committed. At the beginning of the game, a card “Character”, a card “Weapon” and a card “Room” are put in an envelope. That’s the crime. The other cards are the evidence and are to be distributed between the players. During his turn, the player throws the dices and goes to a room where he says a rumor (character, weapon, and the room where the player is). The person at the player’s left must show a card if she has one. If not, you have to do a table round until one person has a card. If no one has a card, make your deductions! The winner is the first to find all the elements of the crime.

5. Taboo

Tabou is a really fun game where you need to make your partner guess as many words as possible in 60 seconds without using the prohibited words. There is a board game, but you can create your own game. You simply have to write a list of words and do another list of words you can’t use to make your partner guess the words. A person from the other team verifies that you’re not using prohibited words. If you use one, you must take another card. Once again, the team with the most points wins.

These 5 ideas will make you laugh, and you are sure to have a great evening with your family. We still have a few properties available this week. Don’t wait up and book your property to make sure to have an amazing March Break!
